mLED provides unique solid-state optical micro-projection systems suitable for a wide range of applications. This is a truly differentiated family of products, in a turnkey platform, with the potential to provide seamless integration into a variety of systems. Demo systems are available with industry leading luminances of >30,000 Cd/m2. Individually addressable micro-pixellated structures operating at 450 nm are available providing power densities of 5,000 mW/mm2.
mLED’s novel “mini light engine” technology is based on many years of development (circa 2001 onwards) at the Institute of Photonics (IoP), University of Strathclyde. The Company is based in Glasgow, Scotland and has exclusively licensed this world-leading capability, offering both generic and customised systems. The primary product applications are within Micro-Displays in areas including near to eye and head up displays.
